Restoring skin harmony through a sensory dialogue between music, microbiome & science.
Context
As Art Director at Estée Lauder Companies, I led the global campaign for Intral Rescue Super Concentrate by Darphin, a 70-year-old French skincare brand rooted in botany and sensoriality. The project introduced a brighter, more contemporary aesthetic, renewing the brand’s visual language.

Concept
In 2020, Darphin launched Intral Rescue Super Concentrate, a four-week treatment designed to restore, balance, and calm the skin. I developed the concept around the idea of synesthesia : linking the sensations of the skin to the universal language of music. Disharmony vs Harmony became the golden thread of the campaign. Visually, the challenge was to translate music into imagery. Working closely with photographers and directors, we explored how skin could sound through motion, composition, ingredients, and set design.

Film
Harmony and disharmony became a language of their own, a musical expression of skincare. Flowers, probiotics, and textures turned into instruments, vibrations, and frequencies.Through glass distortions and a score moving from friction to flow, the narrative unfolded as a visual symphony. Four bottles, one rhythm returning: the harmony of the skin.

Outcomes
The campaign knew a great success and contributed to create a «new Darphin» in the eyes of the consumers. The art direction has been an inspiration source to create new contents for the Intral collection. Several ideas such as collaborations and innovations has been explored, based on the concept skin = music. This campaign has also been a milestone regarding the Estee lauder group toward the Darphin brand.
